Kreuzgasse
Kreuzgasse is a grammar school and was founded in 1828. The school is conveniently located in the centre of Cologne. Approximately 1000 pupils are being educated by a staff of around 80 teachers.
In addition to the compulsory English curriculum we also offer a German-French bilingual course. Here the pupils have the opportunity to learn both French and English right from the beginning of their secondary education. The pupils in the bilingual stream receive 6 lessons per week in French and 3 lessons in English. Bilingual learning at our school does not only mean additional French lessons, but also an increasing use of the French language in other subjects. Firstly we begin by teaching Geography in French before moving on to include Politics and History, thus enabling our pupils to attain both the German Abitur and the French Baccalauréat upon leaving. The Languages department also offers courses in Latin and Spanish.
A further focus at Kreuzgasse is Science and we have a well equipped Science and ICT (Information Computer Technology) department.
School life profits from exceptional parental commitment and is enhanced by numerous extra-curricular activities, particularly in the fields of Music and Sport.
